Well I can’t scrapbook, I can’t make cards, I can’t do anything, but, I can still take pics!!!

Only 5 more sleeps until we start our move.

I just thought this was a cool  pic…”sometimes”, it’s amazing what kid’s come up with…tie some string to a plastic bag & fly it like a kite!

I took the kid’s down to Reader Rock Garden yesterday AM, I wanted to go somewhere where I could take pictures of flowers, etc since we don’t have a garden, I haven’t been there for about 10 years or so, we were going to get married there but, instead we went back home to Vancouver & got married in my now in-law’s backyard!

The garden’s there are just absolutely gorgeous, stunning, it’s so peaceful there & just breathtaking. If you live in Calgary, you really should head down there if you have never been or even if you have, best of all it’s FREE!

I created a photo gallery in Photoshop Elements to show just a few of the pics I took, I actually took almost 90! in about 45 - 1 hr.

During the week of Stampede we always, always have thunderstorms, late yesterday afternoon we had some heavy rain, this is a flower that is in our only plant box on our deck - anyone that knows me knows I am not a gardener! but, our 1 planter box has some pretty flowers in it, I thought this picture of this flower turned out cool with the rain droplets on it.

Hello! It’s been a while! We are busy packing our house up for our move, we have movers coming in on July 22nd to move the heavy stuff that I cannot help my hubby with than on July 23rd we have a 17 foot truck that we rented so we can move everything else, boxes, etc. I really hate moving! We are moving to Airdrie, AB which is about a 20 minute drive North of Calgary, so it’s not to far from where we live now, it’s a much smaller city, in 2007 they had a population of 31,512, so much smaller than Calgary, it’s going to be an adjustment but, we are excited, the kid’s will be going to a brand new school only 1 year old, currently there is only about 256 kids in the school (K-4), & only a 5 min drive down a back road so it’s going to be really nice. We are moving into a brand new townhouse, downsizing but, apparently not by much, it just seems smaller because of the floor plan!

We have been busy entertaining the kid’s - playing in the sprinkler, going to the waterpark, visiting many parks, The Canada Day Parade in Airdrie, the Telus World of Science, we spent the day at the Calgary Stampede, The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth with visitors from all over the World, since Westjet (where my hubby works) is a corporate sponsor we always get to attend a Stampede breakfast the first Saturday after Stampede starts & watch some bull riding (breakfast with the bulls!), this year we also saw bronco riding & some much younger kid’s bull ride, & some other events, I have never seen so many Cowboy’s get stepped on by the bull’s, what a tough & dangerous sport, these Cowboy’s are amazing & TOUGH. My heart as in my throat the whole time.

Of course I haven’t been able to stamp or create anything fun, but, we have taken ALOT of pics (OK hubby has!), I miss it alot & hopefully sometime in August I’ll be up & running again, so for all of you that are still reading my blog…I thank you, if you have read this post this far I am posting some links to some web galleries that I have created in Picasa just to show you what we have been up to…ENJOY!

These are the last of my teacher gifts, these cards are for my daughter’s teachers, I made 6 of these with matching envies, I already had card’s in a box for 1 of the teachers but, not the other, so I had to make some more. I was inspired by these cards found here & than I made this Card Case to put the cards in, my cards are 4×4 but, you can put standard sized cards in this box. The tutorial for the Card Case can be found here.

Everything else is the same for these teachers as for my son’s preschool teachers (previous post), just different cards.

Well this will probably be one of my last crafting posts for a while, school is out in a couple of days so I will be entertaining my kid’s & than we will be moving in August, so I have alot to get done in July. So if I don’t post anything exciting, you all know why.

I made this yesterday for our dessert after dinner. The recipe is from Kraft Canada & can be found here. Mine doesn’t look as “perfect” as theirs but, it sure was yummy!

Very simple & very quick Preschool Teacher Gifts. I bought 2 Starbuck’s Mugs that say “Inspire” on them which I thought was very appropriate for teacher’s. I got them for 50% off so that was a bonus, I had some polka dot cello bags that I filled with Mint Rosebuds (yummy!), tied with some ribbon & used my Rectangle Nestabilities to make a cute little tag & put them in a kraft bag that I quickly stamped the bottom of, inside I also included a box set of 3×3 mini cards.

I read somewhere that Teacher’s don’t need mugs but, I thought not all Teacher’s have alot of mugs & these are Starbuck’s mugs, not just some cheapo mugs from the dollar store! & I think they are sweet!!!! I mean I like collecting mugs!!!
