Card Buffet #5…

12 May

I haven’t gone to a Card Buffet in a while so I decided to go Thursday night, it was just ME and Terry which was great!

I made these 8 cards and love them!

All cards designed by Terry Montgomery.

I love butterflies!

I love the bright colors on this card and I found another use for my punch!

3rd Birthday…

04 May

This layout gave me a whole LOT of grief…the paper came together quickly and than I had trouble with the embellishments, than I made a couple of “mistakes” so I had to fix them somehow…anyways this layout took way too long! but, in the end I love how it turned out.

Stamper’s Group April 2012…

02 May

I had Stamper’s Group 2 weeks ago.

We made 3 cards, 2 of which were Mother’s Day cards…BONUS!!!

The first one isn’t my fav…it didn’t quite sit well with me!

The bottom of the stem on the flower we had put another little flower popped up but, I took it off and decided to stamp a verse on it.

I love the next 2 especially the last one…so simple, all white…classic, loved embossing the rose on vellum and than cutting out layers to make it 3 dimensional.

Stamper’s Club March 2012…

27 Mar

We had Stamper’s Club last Wednesday…the theme this month was to create with Fabric, something I don’t work with very often.

I love, love these cards – my fav Stamper’s Club so far!

Stamper’s Club January 2012…

26 Jan

This month’s technique was embossing…old school! Back to the basics.

This card was actually quite cool. We embossed the butterfly using “chips” of embossing powder.

You take embossing powder and pour it onto a baking sheet covered in foil than bake at 350F for about 3 minutes, than take it out of the oven and let it cool a bit than break it into chunks and put it into a bag. When you are ready to emboss something you just apply the pieces randomly on your chipboard and melt with the embossing gun, the bigger chunks of “chips” seem to work better, than when you are done melting you take a stamp and push it onto the chipboard…voila…very cool!

Cute Valentine’s card with some gold flecks in it.

Christmas Album…

23 Dec

I purchased 2 Hallmark Christmas Recipe Albums last Christmas season from Walmart for $10 each, they came with 4×6 card holders, recipe cards, and index cards, the album was already striped, I had plans for these albums and this year I decided to get busy!

I altered the index cards with cardstock and embellishments, some of them were very simple because the paper was nice all on it’s own, I decorated the front of the cover, I dated the spine and I used the recipe cards for my journalling, I just turned them over!

This is the first album and I fit 12 years of Christmas holidays in it, this Christmas I will start the new one.

I just love how this all came together and now all my Christmas holidays are scrapbooked! Easy peasy…right???!!!`

Christmas Ribbon Wreath…

21 Dec

This ribbon wreath was made by my 8 year old son and I for a craft in his Grade 3 class.

I think it turned out great and it’s so easy to make.

He now has an awesome Christmas wreath hanging in his bedroom!

Christmas Gift Card Holders…

17 Dec

These were the gift card holders I made this year.

I made 9 of these! Quick, simple and oh SO CUTE!!!

I used a tutorial found here at Sarah’s Ink Spot.
