This card brings me Joy! I love how this card turned out. I’m clearing my desk of projects that have been in different stages of completion & this is one of them! I finished them up last night (4 of them). I love these colors together, so fun in non-traditional Christmas colors (I know there is still red & green on them but, not real Christmas red & green!).
My kid’s have today off from school, thank goodness because I have unfortunately caught the cold that has been going around, hopefully this is as far as it will go, so we are going to lay low for the day as my head hurts alot & so does my throat! & than the kid’s will go trick or treating tonight with Daddy - they are very excited.
Have a safe & happy Halloween!!!

I have a thing for cute snowman this Winter! So when I saw this little guy for $1 or something I had to snatch him up & the matching paper, I didn’t know it was matching until much later when it was sitting on my desk!!!
I saw Mish’s card & really loved it, how couldn’t you???

I used my 2-way glue pen to put some glue on the snowflake & than sprinkled glitter on them, in person they almost have this wet, snow feeling.

I have no idea where this idea for this card came from! I started out with something so different. The scallop “frame” is actually a thin piece of metal embossed with the cuttlebug, it embosses beautifully, you can’t really tell from my “great” photo but, take my word for it, it’s nice! I didn’t know what to do with the “window”, I didn’t want to do the glitter window because it just didn’t look right, so I just stamped a snowflake in white.

Thankfulness is being grateful for what we have. It is an attitude of gratitude for learning, loving and being. Appreciate the little things that happen around you and within you every day. Think positively. Thankfulness brings contentment.
You are practicing thankfulness when you:
- Are thankful for the gifts of life.
- Appreciate your own abilities instead of envying others.
- See the difficulties of life as opportunities to learn.
- Enjoy your sense of wonder about the beauty in the world.
- Are willing to receive what others want to give.
- Count your blessings every day.
Affirmation:
I am thankful for the many gifts within me and around me today. I appreciate my life. I look for the lessons I expect the best.
I found this Virtue of the Week in my local heresthescoop.com issue & it came at a very much needed time. This Virtue of the Week came from www.virtuesproject.com. Everyday I try to teach my kid’s how important it is to be thankful for what we have been blessed with. This is one area that is very, very important to me. Every single day I count my blessings & thank GOD for them.
We are coming into a very busy time of the year & this year I want to share the true meaning of Christmas with my kid’s, not the commercialized Christmas but, the spiritual Christmas that is very near to my heart but, has taken a spot on the back burner for the last decade. I want my kid’s to understand that Christmas is a very special time of year and I want to bring back those Family traditions that we once shared a long time ago.

I am in love, love with this Snowman! He is soooo stinkin’ adorable! I saw Dawn’s card found here & I knew I had to get him, I had to order it in from our local stamp store here so it took a bit but, well worth the wait! The snowflakes on the paper have glitter on them, I used Liquid Applique & while wet & sprinkled glitter over it & used my heat gun to puff it up, I made 4 of them & used different embellishments on each card - love, love these!

Tuesdays with Morrie is a fabulous read, it’s not just about a man dying, it’s about life’s lessons & what really matters in life. A lot to be learned. I love Mitch Albom’s style of writing.
