I FINALLY altered these big letters that I bought probably 8 – 12 months ago, they were sitting in my container of stuff to do & I finally pulled them out a couple of days ago to get them done.
They take forever to do because you have to do everything in layers & than wait for everything to dry. I used Royal Decoupage to adhere the paper, than covered it with the decoupage, than painted 2 coats (waiting for each coat to dry), than I put decoupage on it again, so everything takes so long as you have to wait for everything to dry.
I just decorated them very simply, I didn’t want to over due it, I thought they looked good just with the paper on it & of course I didn’t want to add flowers & bling to my son’s! So for something that “looks” so simple, it’s not simple to do because of the drying time. I have seen people spell out words with these letters…not me, I’m done with letters!
My daughter hung her’s on her door where it is suppose to go & my son didn’t…he hung his on the wall.
