Stamper’s Club January 2012…

26 Jan

This month’s technique was embossing…old school! Back to the basics.

This card was actually quite cool. We embossed the butterfly using “chips” of embossing powder.

You take embossing powder and pour it onto a baking sheet covered in foil than bake at 350F for about 3 minutes, than take it out of the oven and let it cool a bit than break it into chunks and put it into a bag. When you are ready to emboss something you just apply the pieces randomly on your chipboard and melt with the embossing gun, the bigger chunks of “chips” seem to work better, than when you are done melting you take a stamp and push it onto the chipboard…voila…very cool!

Cute Valentine’s card with some gold flecks in it.

Happy Holidays…

31 Oct

I made this card quickly at my scrapbooking retreat weekend 2 weekends ago.

I borrowed the punch…which I love! and I also borrowed the stamp…oh and the button and the twine!!! LOL. Thanks Rhea and Lynnette!!!

I picked up some of this cool paper at Scrapbooker’s Paradise Red Deer on the way out of town.

Stamper’s Club October 2011…

29 Oct

The first card was made using watercolor wonder crayons and random stamping.

The second card was actually a technique using bubble solution and re-inkers and blowing the liquid onto your cardstock…you can’t see it very well in my pic, it’s very subtle but, it’s a cool technique.

The third card was just fun! A cool wintery scene. There is a reindeer on the right side but, I embossed with Vanilla instead of White!!!

Card Buffet #1…

12 Oct

I made these cards at a Card Buffet hosted by Terry Montgomery of Terryfic Cards.

I actually “met” Terry at Airdrie Fest 2010 but, at the time I was still a Stampin’ Up! demo myself…so this year at Airdrie Fest when I stopped by her booth I decided since I’m not a demo any more that I would sign up for some classes and also, her Stamper’s Club…a good way to keep me stamping!

So I have now been to 2 of her Card Buffet’s which I LOVE and our Stamper’s Group starts up in a couple of weeks.

These cards are from the first buffet I went to, I picked these ones to make.

8 cards for $15 and she has lots to choose from.

Glitter Christmas cards…

10 Oct

Hellooooo, knock…knock…anyone still read my blog???!!!

Hee hee…

It’s been ages since my last post BUT, that certainly does not mean I haven’t been doing anything all Summer.

I’ve been making cards, working on catching up on all the kit’s I’ve collected the past couple of years…I believe I started out with about 20 in my cupboard and now I’m down to only 6 to finish BUT, I do still have to add pictures, that’s the hard part! I’ve been making some cards, getting together every 2 weeks lately to scrap with my girlfriends, I’ve been working on my Christmas album…10 years in one album! I’ve been going to make cards here and there at a SU demo’s house here in town…so it’s not like I haven’t been creative!!! I’ve just been lazy in posting to my blog!

So…here we go!

I made these cards a while back, well the actual image and finally mounted them to make a card a week ago!

The first card I used a sketch from the Cardmaker’s Sketch Book: Christmas Celebration.

I love all the glitter but, that’s about it!!!

Birthday Wishes…

18 Aug

I saw this card on Melissa Bickford’s blog and I thought: cute & simple.

This is what I came up with…it’s OK! Not my fav car! Something just wasn’t working for MOI!

Thank You Medallion…

Nurture You card…

27 Jul

Brenda-Lee and I made these cards Friday night, I wanted to use the new Stampin’ Up! layer punches.

They came together nice and easy. We knocked off 12 of them quickly and than was stumped for the next card!!!

We used a sketch from the Sketches 4 Cards app on my Iphone.
