Tonight Verve Stamps is having a release – woo hoo!!! Julee issued a sketch challenge, here are all the details, what are you waiting for? you still have some time to get your sketch done.
I decided to use Verve Stamps Snowflake Splendor, because I felt that a bright, and snowy card was in order! Let me tell you why..
Yesterday I went to an all day crop – March Madness put on by Rhea & Ann (lovely, lovely ladies) from Savvy N Sassy, it was an amazing event, it was small and intimate but, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way, the goodie bags were unbelievable, the door prizes were outstanding and the raffle prizes were FABULOUS! oh and the food – yummy – Tim’s for breakfast, Subway for lunch and homemade cabbage rolls for dinner – holy dyna we were indeed spoiled (I’ll be posting a couple of things in another post)…soooo, my hubby and kid’s picked me up last night around 8:45PM, I had asked in the AM are we going to have alot of snow – no, no just 1-3cm he says – OK, no worries than, the AM and early afternoon were gorgeous out – sun was shining than as the evening goes on it’s getting darker and darker – I can see the storm clouds, my hubby picks me up and we start driving North on Deerfoot to come home to Airdrie and within 15 minutes of driving BOOM white out conditions, blowing snow, can’t see 1 foot in front of me, everyone is driving all over the place, driving 30KM in a 100KM + zone, 4-way flashers on, praying that we are going to arrive home safetly, well 1 hour 25 minutes later we made it home safetly – thank goodness, this is the 2nd time this Winter that I have had to drive in conditions like that and last night was the worst ever. This drive would have taken us normally 30 mins, maybe 40 mins. Sure, I could have pulled over on the side of the highway but, I didn’t want to take a chance of being rear ended.
So today we woke up to 6-8 inches of snow – STUPID! so on that note that’s why I wanted to do a wintery but, bright card because the sun is shining as usual!!!
Here is my card:

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Eyelet Border Punch (I messed up a bit on the left side!), I have a heck of a time getting it “even”, I also used Stampin’ Up!’s Curly Label Punch & my Nestabilities & the polka dot orange ribbon I got in my goodie back yesterday at my crop.
