Mojo Monday Week 83…

25 Apr

I went to my 4th Copic Class Thursday night at the Scrapbook Pantry, we did the color purple and airbrushing, I have said all along that I didn’t really care about airbrushing with the Copic markers, after Thursday night I may have changed my mind! It was soooo easy and soooo much fun.

We colored in this House Mouse (I think!) and than used a nestability to cut him out and than airbrushed the background.

I wanted to make him into a card right away so yesterday I used my Cosmo Cricket paper I got from the Dollar Store here in Airdrie for $2.50 per package, I think there is about 30 sheets of 8×8 cardstock and some die cuts too, I was very impressed, they also had some Daisy D paper too including 12×12 Sock Monkey Paper for $3, I was in awe!

Anyways…I used a sketch from Mojo Monday’s blog found here. This is my version:

Isn’t he cute???

I didn’t put a sentiment on yet because I’m not sure what I will use it for.

Have a great rest of the weekend, today has been very busy for me.

The Digi Shack Sketch Challenge…

21 Apr

I came across this new website The Digi Shack full of cute digi images,  I saw that they were doing a sketch challenge so I thought hey, why not? I haven’t done one in a while & I love cherry blossoms.

Here is my card:

I used some Crystal Effects on some of the cherry blossoms, kind of hard to see but, they are the blossoms that are brighter.

Easter Greetings…

14 Mar

This is the card I made for fun stamp night at my friend’s house last night but, we didn’t end up getting together…sadly, so I went to my friend’s house with my daughter and another friend of ours came over and we made some of these cards!

I finally used my Scor-Pal which I have had for a couple of months now & guess what? I love it!!! The Easter Greetings stamp I used kinda stinks for some reason it’s crooked and that’s the way it’s on the block…not my fault though – it came that way!

Here is my card:

Not sure if you can see all that yummy glitter on the butterflies or not – so pretty. Also, can you see my pattern on the white cardstock? from the Scor-Pal? I followed this tutorial at Pickled Paper Designs. I also used Taylored Expressions Sketch found here, you need to scroll down a bit to see the sketch.

Verve Release Sketch Challenge…

08 Mar

**Sorry, long post, if you don’t want to read my “story” than just scroll down to the card!**

Tonight Verve Stamps is having a release – woo hoo!!! Julee issued a sketch challenge, here are all the details, what are you waiting for? you still have some time to get your sketch done.

I decided to use Verve Stamps Snowflake Splendor, because I felt that a bright, and snowy card was in order! Let me tell you why..

Yesterday I went to an all day crop – March Madness put on by Rhea & Ann (lovely, lovely ladies) from Savvy N Sassy, it was an amazing event, it was small and intimate but, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way, the goodie bags were unbelievable, the door prizes were outstanding and the raffle prizes were FABULOUS! oh and the food – yummy – Tim’s for breakfast, Subway for lunch and homemade cabbage rolls for dinner – holy dyna we were indeed spoiled (I’ll be posting a couple of things in another post)…soooo, my hubby and kid’s picked me up last night around 8:45PM, I had asked in the AM are we going to have alot of snow – no, no just 1-3cm he says – OK, no worries than, the AM and early afternoon were gorgeous out – sun was shining than as the evening goes on it’s getting darker and darker – I can see the storm clouds, my hubby picks me up and we start driving North on Deerfoot to come home to Airdrie and within 15 minutes of driving BOOM white out conditions, blowing snow, can’t see 1 foot in front of me, everyone is driving all over the place, driving 30KM in a 100KM + zone, 4-way flashers on, praying that we are going to arrive home safetly, well 1 hour 25 minutes later we made it home safetly – thank goodness, this is the 2nd time this Winter that I have had to drive in conditions like that and last night was the worst ever. This drive would have taken us normally 30 mins, maybe 40 mins. Sure, I could have pulled over on the side of the highway but, I didn’t want to take a chance of being rear ended.

So today we woke up to 6-8 inches of snow – STUPID! so on that note that’s why I wanted to do a wintery but, bright card because the sun is shining as usual!!!

Here is my card:

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Eyelet Border Punch (I messed up a bit on the left side!), I have a heck of a time getting it “even”, I also used Stampin’ Up!’s Curly Label Punch & my Nestabilities & the polka dot orange ribbon I got in my goodie back yesterday at my crop.

Here is the information for Week 1.

Here is my March Week 1 card:

I really sucked with my challenges today, but, I really wanted to finish & get caught up, my “mojo” definately wasn’t working for me today! Those black “things” are indeed buttons!

In the end both the cards I made today I wasn’t so “excited” about, I almost trashed one of them but, they turned out alrighty I guess.

Mojo Monday 76 CONTEST…

04 Mar

Here is my card:

So many challenges, so little time…ho hum…how do YOU all DO IT? I am struggling to keep up with the few challenges I like to do & I’m most certainly not getting any of my scrapbooking done!

Do you not sleep, up all hours of the night stamping, a prisoner of your own home, eat, do you sneek 5 minutes here & there & than wind up taking ALL day to do 1 card like me?

You can find all the deets for this contest here.

I really struggled with the 2 challenges I did today…

Friday Sketchers Challenge #41…

03 Mar

Here is the information for this challenge.

Here is my card:

I rotated the sketch & instead of having the 2nd box for text, I used circles for my text & off set it.

I used my Copics & than colored & cut out the middle cupcake a 2nd time & mounted with dimensionals. I used Birthday Cupcake by Inkadinkado & DP by Creative Imaginations, I bought it a year ago!
