All I have for you today is a quote! My daughter & I spent Halloween sick, we are still sick, I felt really bad for my daughter who was so disappointed she couldn’t go trick or treating, how crappy is that? She was so excited for Halloween, had been waiting months & than BAM! just like that she is sick on the day of Halloween & I don’t just mean a cold like me…poor her. My son on the other hand was out for a long time, this is the warmest Halloween that I can remember, no snow suits, gloves, hats, boots, nada, just a simple Spidey outfit was worn!

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween, have a super weekend!

Thankfulness is being grateful for what we have. It is an attitude of gratitude for learning, loving and being. Appreciate the little things that happen around you and within you every day. Think positively. Thankfulness brings contentment.

You are practicing thankfulness when you:

Are thankful for the gifts of life.

Appreciate your own abilities instead of envying others.

See the difficulties of life as opportunities to learn.

Enjoy your sense of wonder about the beauty in the world.

Are willing to receive what others want to give.

Count your blessings every day.

Affirmation:

I am thankful for the many gifts within me and around me today. I appreciate my life. I look for the lessons I expect the best.

I found this Virtue of the Week in my local heresthescoop.com issue & it came at a very much needed time. This Virtue of the Week came from www.virtuesproject.com. Everyday I try to teach my kid’s how important it is to be thankful for what we have been blessed with. This is one area that is very, very important to me. Every single day I count my blessings & thank GOD for them.

We are coming into a very busy time of the year & this year I want to share the true meaning of Christmas with my kid’s, not the commercialized Christmas but, the spiritual Christmas that is very near to my heart but, has taken a spot on the back burner for the last decade. I want my kid’s to understand that Christmas is a very special time of year and I want to bring back those Family traditions that we once shared a long time ago.

Last night was workshop night with my regular gals, we had lots of fun & laughs!!! I decided to do a Christmas Card & a Thanksgiving Card, well my version – a Gratitude Card.

I used the same layout as my Thomas Kincade card but, I used mostly all SU supplies for this card, I love the bling! I find that when I use this ribbon you need to NOT tie it in a bow as I find it to be quite bulky, & I can’t seem to get it to lay flat but, than again I am no expert bow maker!

You can’t tell really on this card but, I colored in the stamp with markers than spritzed with water, my customers were really able to achieve the watercolor look on the flower, one of them even looked like there was water on the petals. Felt ribbon – yumm-o!

Thanks for visiting & have a great weekend! I’m now going to leave you with a quote:

“a hug is a great gift – one size fits all, and it is easy to exchange.”

- author unknown
