Gift Enclosure…

29 Jun

My Gift EnclosureDeb’s Gift Enclosure

I went to a downline meeting last night and my upline demonstrated this Gift Card Enclosure, it was really great the way she showed us how to do it…future workshop demo perhaps? It was a very quick way. You could also makes these into wedding invites.

The first one is mine using Whisper White Cardstock, white embossing powder, River Rock Classic Ink, Old Olive Ribbon and the new Brocade Background Designer Paper. I used the Large Oval Punch because I didn’t want to cut small pieces of cardstock, it just fit!

Deb’s used Very Vanilla instead of white but because the Very Vanilla embossing powder is now retired I used white. I also attached my designer paper to the outside piece instead of the inside cardstock so that you could write directly onto the cardstock.

These are the Wedding Invite Samples I made for my best friend Kara’s Wedding to Jim in the Fall of 2008 in Mexico (it’s about freakin’ time!). We have been best friend’s for 21 years now and I have known Jim about the same amount of time.

First card idea is from Jenn Balcer at:

Second card is my favorite, idea by:

and this is the one that Kara and Jim decided they wanted for their wedding invites…yeah!

Third card idea is Nichole Heady at:

Fourth idea is from Papercrafts. It needs something on the front but not sure what yet!

Fifth one is from a stamper’s gallery I saw on Splitcoast…sorry, I can’t find the link now. I used the new Baroque Motifs stamp set and embossed in Vanilla, can’t see it very well!

Sixth idea and awesome tutorial is from Beate at:

Reply card to match the wedding invite in my previous post. Kayla liked #3 best, so this is what I came up with trying to make it as simple as possible. It is a 4×4 card.

I was asked by my neighbor’s friend to make up some Wedding Invitation samples in Pink and Chocolate Chip, she wanted a tradional, elegant feel…this is what I came up with. The pictures do not do these cards justice, these cards to me are the best that I have ever made in my whole cardmaking career! I absolutely love them and I hope that she does too! They were alot of fun to make.

The first layout was inspired by: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/480317?si=Wedding%20Invites

The third layout was inspired by:

The white cardstock is Stampin’ Up!’s Shimmery White Cardstock and I also used Stampin’ Up!’s White Vellum Cardstock.

I am sooo glad to have my camera back, hubby is now back from Orlando.

Fall Wedding Thank You Cards…

14 May

Number OneNumber TwoNumber ThreeNumber Four

These are the 4 samples that I made for my neighbor Darlene. She is looking for Thank You Cards with a Fall theme for after her wedding, it was definately challenging for me,  I hope she likes them.

The first card was based on the “Tent topper” card but I didn’t end up putting the topper on! and the third card was based on Thinking Inking’s May 10th card layout.

Which one do you like best? Would you change anything?
