Glitter Christmas cards…

10 Oct

Hellooooo, knock…knock…anyone still read my blog???!!!

Hee hee…

It’s been ages since my last post BUT, that certainly does not mean I haven’t been doing anything all Summer.

I’ve been making cards, working on catching up on all the kit’s I’ve collected the past couple of years…I believe I started out with about 20 in my cupboard and now I’m down to only 6 to finish BUT, I do still have to add pictures, that’s the hard part! I’ve been making some cards, getting together every 2 weeks lately to scrap with my girlfriends, I’ve been working on my Christmas album…10 years in one album! I’ve been going to make cards here and there at a SU demo’s house here in town…so it’s not like I haven’t been creative!!! I’ve just been lazy in posting to my blog!

So…here we go!

I made these cards a while back, well the actual image and finally mounted them to make a card a week ago!

The first card I used a sketch from the Cardmaker’s Sketch Book: Christmas Celebration.

I love all the glitter but, that’s about it!!!

Christmas Card 2010…

26 Dec

Whoa…it’s been a while since I have last posted!

I completely lost my mojo, my ability to create…I was a tad worried there for a while!

You wouldn’t believe how long it took me to make 10 of these cards…cards I absolutely HAD to make or I might never hear the end of it from certain friends & family!

I had saved a couple of pics on my iphone of some cards I saw in Hallmark & I went with that layout.

**ETA: I LIED! As I was trying to fall asleep last night I realized that’s not right…I DID in fact use a sketch from The Sweetest Thing – Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #96 found here. Sorry!

Greetings & Salutations…

29 Dec

Greetings Everyone!!!

Have you missed me??? Ya right!

Well I haven’t posted in a long time, what can I say…I have no good excuses except the holidays got the best of me…and they should right???

The kid’s are on Christmas break till the New Year & we are all enjoying our time together.

We have been “trying” to catch up on sleep, playing with all the Christmas goodness, hanging out & just being low key. I can certainly say that I personally DO NOT miss making lunches & running around like a mad woman in the morning trying to get the kid’s to school for 8AM.

We have watched some movies. Billy & I watched Julie & Julia, I remember when this movie came out in theatres & I really wanted to see it, now that I did I realized it wasn’t that good, kind of disappointing.

Than I took the kid’s to see Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. OMG, what a funny, cute movie! I think I was laughing more than the kid’s were!

(500) days of Summer…another crappy movie I thought, I don’t know maybe I just wasn’t in the frame of mind to really appreciate it.

Precious, what a disturbing movie.

and onto crafty things, I made these for Brenda-Lee’s dinner table (our lovely host for the evening!), everything coordinates, isn’t it lovely??? The table looked soooo pretty.

We were hoping to put chocolate in the containers that matched also but, these little cups are hard to fill with chocolate. Brenda-Lee filled them up with smarties.

I made 20 of them & the good thing is that they are recyclable.

Here is what they looked like on the dinner table.

I found the instructions for these treat cup holders here (scroll down a bit) & I just modified it to only use 2 treat cups.

So really that’s all I’ve been up to! I hope you are all enjoying your holiday season.

Christmas Cards for the Troops…

30 Nov

I was looking for ideas for Christmas cards to send off to the Canadian Troops & I wanted something that I could easily mass produce, maybe 1 layer, maybe no layers & I came across this one found here & I thought PERFECT because everyone knows I love, LOVE snowflakes!!!

So off I went, I started Wednesday night by making the first one, the “prototype”  than everyday I did a step to bring me one step closer to the finish line!

I finally finished today, I made 50 all together.
