When my daughter finished Grade 1 a couple of days ago one of the things she suggested in her report card was having a “Summer Journal” to help with her reading and writing skills, I thought it was a great idea.
I had this journal already (of course!), I just wanted to do something quick and simple, I wanted to include some of my own printing…not sure why! and of course some “bling”, she’s 7, what girl wouldn’t like bling and pink of course. The ribbons I got from Julie’s Brook’s online store Doodliedoo, she included them in a Share I participated in…very kind!
To start off the journal I put a picture of her brother, Dad and myself and than we spent some time journalling in it today.
She is very excited about this journal and the thought of having something to cherish for a lifetime.

Wow – I love this! Journals are a fantastic idea. Tamber has one that she carries around with her everywhere, writing about our. every. move. That could be good or bad!
Stay tuned to my blog for some samples of what I accomplished this weekend, Michelle. I think you’ll be uber impressed!@
