Window sheet Christmas container…

28 Sep

I saw this sweet, little container on Chic ‘n Scratch’s blog and printed up the instructions and knew instantly I wanted to make a Christmas one…maybe to put out on the Christmas dinner table this year.

I use to have a whole bunch of these containers…guess what? I recycled them all!

I had one lying around, so here is my prototype!!! Quick and very easy!

Neon Christmas…

27 Sep

I wanted to make a Christmas card using some of my Hero Arts Neon ink colors.

Last night Taylor and I sat down and made one of these cards each.

Card Buffet #6…

22 Sep

I went to another card buffet at the end of June with Taylor and these were the cards I made.

Not the greatest pics, I used my iphone in poor lighting.

It’s taken me so long to do this blog post because I was having problems with all my pics turning to grey scale from color…for no apparent reason…I thought…well I think we finally figured out what the problem was…OK, so my techie hubby did!

Stamper’s Group June 2012 {Last One}…

23 Jun

Last night was my last Stamper’s Group for the year…I can’t wait till October rolls around again!

First we made this AWESOME Honeycomb card…I have been eyeing these FOREVER…so easy to make just time consumming!

Than we made this cute little box…I think a gift card should be able to fit in it…I haven’t tried yet!

I really had a great time…something to look forward to each month…anyone want to join me in October (Airdrie)?

Scrapbook Your Heart Retreat Projects…

22 Jun

The weekend of June 8th I went to the SYH Retreat…their 5th one and my 5th one…this retreat is soooo wonderful and every year the gals just blow me away with their talent, projects and subject matter.

The little extras they do to spoil us are amazing!

This year’s theme: Garden of Life

This is a little canvas that we received with a paper napkin with a butterfly on it (tan in color). That’s it…2 things! A 5 minute project Christy said…ya right…more like 5 hours for me!!! LOL.

This was actually the 2nd attempt…the first time I stuck the napkin on with Modge Podge and it looked horrible…so I peeled it off, than I applied another square, same thing happened so I threw it in the garbage can! My friend Brenda-Lee took it out and peeled bits and pieces of the napkin off and said I think it will be fine…so I left it on my table and came back to it a while later…added some more paint, bling, ribbon and some inspirational sayings and voila…I’m in LOVE!!! Thanks Brenda-Lee!

These are a set of 6 postcards we made to stand on a easel.

We used Cathie Allen’s Super Stock Cardstock (absolutely gorgeous cardstock).

We went to 6 different tables and made these postcards with inspirational sayings on them using different techniques. At first I thought: this is a whole LOT of work but, in the end I am so glad I took the time to make them.

My fav.

My least fav!

Confetti Birthday Cards…

21 Jun

I saw this tutorial at Scrapbook & Cards Today a while back…instantly I thought very COOL!

So I rounded up my supplies and away I went…these are the cards I came up with.

I used star confetti here.

I used paper confetti here (my fav).

and here I used glitter (my least fav).

I cheated and bought the pennants in the wedding section at Michael’s (30 in a pack)!

Stamper’s Group May 2012…

24 May

Last night was my montly Stamper’s Group and I was the hostess…I earned $40 in FREE stuff!!! Yeah!

These are the projects we made:

Gorgeous Post It Note Holder using new stamps and paper from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue. The Post It Notes inside are 4×6.

We used the Baby Wipe Technique to stamp the flower.

Very cute window card using new stamps and paper.

I love this little lunch bag holder that was very easy to make.

AND LOOK…the Post It Note Holder fits nicely inside the pocket…awesome teacher gifts!

We have a teacher in our Stamper’s Group (actually she teaches Grade 2 at Jaiden’s school) and we all asked her if teacher’s would like this as a gift…she said YES because it’s consummable and you can re-load more Post It Notes inside when done and of course it’s CUTE!!!

Card Buffet #5…

12 May

I haven’t gone to a Card Buffet in a while so I decided to go Thursday night, it was just ME and Terry which was great!

I made these 8 cards and love them!

All cards designed by Terry Montgomery.

I love butterflies!

I love the bright colors on this card and I found another use for my punch!
