Speed Stacking finals…
Today was the day that my son was in the finals for speed stacking at his school.
They have been practicing for a while than they had the semi-finals on Wednesday, he was actually sick for this but, because his time was so high he didn’t have to participate, he was automatically put into the finals.
So today at the school assembly the 18 finalists showed us parents their amazing speed stacking skills. These kids can move!
So they split them into the Grades 1 & 2’s & than the Grades 3’s & 4’s.
They did the 3, 3, 3 first (3 kids competing at a time), than the 3, 6, 3 & than the Cycle. My son was doing the Cycle. He was up against (2) Grade 2’s (he is in Grade 1 & is 6 1/2 years old). They get to stack against eachother 3 times & the person with the best time wins Gold, 2nd place is Silver & the 3rd place gets Bronze.
My son got the best time the first time, the 2nd time (15.33 seconds) & than the 3rd time he fumbled all the cups & got 24.78! but, because he had the best time at 15.33 seconds (the other kids were around 20 seconds or higher) he won GOLD!!!
I was soooo happy for him, sooooo excited. I’m sure I was the loudest cheering!
His best time.
Worst time after fumbling!
We are soooo very proud of your determination & your dedication Jaiden!!!
