Thanksgiving Weekend Festivities…

12 Oct

Friday was the start of our Thanksgiving Day long weekend, the kid’s were off school on Friday so we went to see the movie Igor, in my eyes it was an “OK” movie, the kid’s really liked it especially my son & of course it’s a great movie to watch for Halloween.

Than we did a little bit of shopping, came home & put out our Halloween decorations. Today we went to Blue Grass Nursery’s 5th Annual Pumpkin Festival in Balzac which isn’t too far from us. Admission is by donation which goes to the Alberta Children’s Hospital which is great but, I’m not sure that I will go back next year, it is INSANE there! Way too many people for me. We were lucky enough to watch the Pumpkin smashing at 3PM & than I ran back over to the Princess Carriage wagon ride, so the kid’s didn’t have to wait long to get on & that’s it, the lines were way to long.

Very cool! I had no idea there was such an event. Can you just imagine how busy that area will be once the mall is finished. LOL. Happy Thanksgiving.
