Who’s Your Family…
Happy New Year’s Day! I hope you all had a great night last night, we had a quiet evening, we actually took down all the Xmas decorations than headed out to Airdrie for their Festival of Lights, we only lasted a 1/2 hour because it was too darn cold out! and we were prepared for the weather, I was hoping to stay for the fireworks at 8PM but it just wasn’t going to happen, we should have just showed up 15 mins before it started, I thought there was going to be more stuff for the kid’s to do…oh well, it got us out for a while, than we went to Starbucks to warm up, we than came home and just hung out and watched the end of a movie, that was our nice, cozy evening together! Today we got up and went for breakfast with hubby’s parents and Sister and family – yummy! Now on to the goods…
This is a 12×12 layout I did yesterday following a Page Sketch found here. I used patterened paper from Sassafras Lass, I just love their stuff, than I used Stampin’ Up!’s textured cardstock in Sky Blue, PumpkinĀ Pie and Rose Red, I used American Crafts Thickers found here, they are pretty cool, I dyed a white flower from Stampin’ Up! Rose Red and let dry overnight and than I used Bella Baubles found here, I absolutely love these, they are soooo fun! & come in so many cool colors! Looking at this layout I should have had a question mark at the end of “family”, oh well ran out of room & I should journal or date it but I find it very hard to write on textured cardstock, so, I’m not sure if I will.

Gorgeous colors and layout!! I’m going to have to take scrapbooking lessons from you Michelle!
What a beautiful page and a gorgeous family! Love your bright colors balanced with b&w photos. Beautiful!
BEAUTIFUL! Love those pages…you are inspiring me to get more scrapping done!!!
Beautiful page Michelle! I love the colors, the paper and those bella baubles make a great accent!
I love the colors on this! This page is gorgeous. I absolutely love the flower – what did you dye it with? Just regular ink? Turned out so cute…
I used Stampin’ Up’s Classic Reinker in a baggie & just stuffed the flowers in there, than took them out wearing a disposable rubber glove & “smooshed” them on a paper towl to remove the excess ink & let them dry over night.
These pages are fabulous! I need to make scrapbooking more of a priority this year. Your photographs are wonderful too.
Great pages! The pictures of you all are WONDERFUL!
